Are You Going To Heaven?

This is the most important question anyone could ask you!  Every person has wondered if they are going to heaven or not. Many search high and low and never find the answer.  Many try to live their lives so their good deeds outweighs their bad ones.  Scarier yet, many put it off until later.

The answer is so simple and life changing. The truth is that we are not saved by our good works or deeds. Man can never let his good outweigh his bad, because God's mark is perfection. If God expects us to be perfect, then are we forever hopeless due to the sins we have committed?

No individual today can say that they are without sin and meet the mark of God's expectation. Because we fall short of God's perfection, we need a Savior. The Bible says, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

Jesus paid the ultimate price when He took ALL of our sins and died on the cross.  The Bible even states that Jesus, who knew no sin, became our sin (2 Cor. 5:21). In John 19:30, Jesus said, "It is finished," or paid in full! It was then that His sacrifice paid for our wrongs.

The best news of all is that Jesus rose again three days later! Because He resurrected, we can have a relationship with God. Salvation is ONLY through Jesus Christ. He said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6)  It's not good enough to just know these truths as head knowledge, but you must have a heart knowledge.  You must be born-again!

If you want to go to heaven, you need to simply follow the ABC's below:

        1) Acknowledge you're a sinner,

            and your need for a Savior.

            Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned,

            and come short

            of the glory of God;"

        2) Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.

            Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin

            is death;

            but the gift of God is eternal life

            through Jesus Christ our Lord."

             Acts 16:31 "And they said,

            Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ,

            and thou shalt be saved,"

        3) Confess Jesus in your heart, and

            Commit your life to Him.

               Romans 10:9-10 "That if thou shalt

               confess with thy mouth

               the Lord Jesus,

               and shalt believe in thine

               heart that God hath raised

               Him from the dead,

               thou shalt be saved.

               For with the heart

               man believeth unto

               righteousness;

               and with the mouth confession

               is made unto salvation."

Take time to pray, "Jesus, save me...

Forgive me of my sin...

Be Lord of my life. Amen."
