Pastor Bob & Elaine Stephens
In October of 2010, a new chapter of Grace Baptist Church in Akron began. Pastor Robert Stephens, having served our church for over 40 years, became our Senior Pastor. He and his wife, Elaine, continue today in faithfully leading God’s people into fulfilling the Great Commission until Jesus Christ returns.
Our Pastor Emeritus
On April 14th, 1985, the Lord allowed Grace Baptist Church to unite with Shadyside Baptist Church to serve as one. Pastor Phil Hulgin and his wife, Vera, began to watch God bless and multiply His work. Forty five years of faithful ministry as pastor, (now Pastor Emeritus), has brought us to the foundation that we have to build upon today.
During Pastor Hulgin's years, the ministry of Grace Baptist Church impacted many lives with the gospel. Our devotion to God's Word, the support of over 90 missionaries, and the loving fellowship with one another is evidence of God's hand of blessing.
